Untitled Audiobot BOT-035 LP £12.99 Second ultra-mysterious release (no details or credits anywhere on the sleeve) from Caleb Johnston, reputedly the brother of Twig Harper of Nautical Almanac. The Twig Harper connection makes a lot of sense, with the same kind of destroyed/junk-based noise syntax put to the service of gut-churning punk sound poetry and ultra-crude fuzz gargling that charges a bunch of the Nautical Almanac back catalogue. But there's something a little more European about the violent, actionist bent of much of the sound, so if you're into smearing yourself in goat skank, setting fire to household objects and wanging your dick off a coat hanger you're sure to feel 'at home' here. But even if you prefer to consume your art actions on a nice stereo in the comfort of your own swank pad, this should make a nice addition to the shelf.
