Apparently unknown and still-unidentified cassette of primitive homemade hip-hop from Cleveland’s Sheriff Jake Fields, with raps based around street life in Cleveland – “Fans eating dog biscuits in forty below weather with no shirts on” – over fucked-up psychedelic mixes by mysterious musicians such as DJ White Lightning. Should appeal to fans of Fag Tapes and real people sides as much as anyone who digs folk art, raw hip-hop, or just un-cut Americana: “after being given his demo CD by a friend some years back, I began my search for him by asking local rappers, promoters and googling the hell out of every name he drops on the EP. Nonetheless, after all this time I felt like the word needed to be spread about this guy. You gotta hear it to believe it.” – PN.
