New companion volume to Alchemy’s earlier We’ll Put It Out If The Boss Insists set, this time bundling a selection of performances from the 1980s by this Japanese underground cell who recorded for the legendary Pinakotheca label (who also released Keiji Haino’s Watashi Dake) and released a bucketload of obscure cassettes. The sounds here are classic DIY/avant primitive moves, directly comparable to international sub-underground savants like Kenneth Higney, Simply Saucer and Smegma while touching on the kind of zoned lonesome electronics of early Industrial contemporaries like Tolerance. Includes a totally trounced cover of Faust’s “It’s A Rainy Day”. This one makes for a great back-to-back spin alongside Siwa’s recent Seishokki retrospective. Highly recommended.
