Beautiful document of higher-minded site-specific psychedelic improvisation from this Japanese duo that released the great Shrine LP with Carter Thornton last year. These guys have also worked with Matthew Heyner and the world they inhabit is one built on foundations laid by thinkers as diverse as Barre Philips, Iancu Dumitrescu, Malcolm Goldstein and Chie Mukai. Kuwayama Kiyoharu plays cello and Kijima Rina plays violin and together they work fast scrabbles, knots of diamond-black tone and solid ribbons of speed-of-thought trance into beautifully austere monoliths. First track recorded live at the Warehouse #20, on a garden pier in front of Nagoya, tracks two and three recorded live at a motorway construction side. Highly recommended.
