Providence Gutbrain Records CD £8.99 Last (?) duo recording from Dorgon and Cromwell, crude avant jazz spirit executed with a post-garage band mindset, featuring Cromwell on drums, percussion and organ and Dorgon on saxophone, clarinet and 8 string bass (!). Dunno when this came out, I missed it at the time, but it's another fascinating sub-chapter in the story of New York's still-unfolding free jazz underground. Excellent cover shot too. |
