Messiah Pilate Navigator No Cat CD-R £8.99 You might rcall the bunch of amazing outsider rock/folk/oblivion sides cut by Mr Evan Louison under a bunch of guises (a duo with Daniel Carter, Extremis, No Questions/No Answers, The Bridge Itself) that combined Jandek-scale personal evisceration with nods of nowhere guitar. All of em came out on his own excellent Pilate Navigator side before disappearing forever, which is exactly what seems to have happened to Louison himself. Then there's this, a weird barely-there recording for guitar, percussion and vocals broadcast from way beyond the implode. Have no idea how many were even made of this - or if it was ever a 'proper' release - but we scored a handful and anyone who has been following this particular saga is gonna want to check in here. Packaged in DVD-style cases with an insert and nada info. As bewitching as alla his other work in an edition of close to zero - where are you Evan? |
