Dream-team hook-up between the Hototogisu duo of Matthew Bower and Marcia Bassett and Domink Fernow's Prurient project. First track sounds like both group's back catalogue turned inside out, with searchlights probing deep beneath walls of flesh while expressway trains hum and sing in your veins and huge steel jaws draw protesting blood straight from the air. Later tracks are even more dreamlike, with a degraded breaths of feedback and metal resonance curdled with halos of harmonic presence that are almost Kosugi-like in their celestial aspect, what sounds like ticker-tape electronic SOS voices broadcasting from fleets of submarines lost somewhere beneath the ice and elbows of pure aural threat. A shot of heavy, heavy psychedelics and highly recommended.
